Is it really free?
Yes. Il Mister is a free football manager game and always will be. VIP buys convenience only — extra reading of opponents, the match replay, club personalisation — and nothing that wins matches. Every new account starts with 60 days of VIP for free.
How much time does it take?
Minutes a day. One real day is six game days: training runs on weekdays and the round plays Sunday at 19:00 Bucharest time (12:00 in New York). Slow seasons are the point — decisions matter because you cannot spam them.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Il Mister runs in any modern browser, on a computer or a phone, with nothing to download. On a phone you can also add it to your home screen and open it like an app.
How do tactics change a match?
Your formation, mentality, defensive line, attacking approach and individual player orders change who gets the ball, where attacks go and who wins the duels. Conditional orders react to the score and the minute. After the match, the report shows which choices came into play.
Which languages is the game in?
English, Romanian and Simplified Chinese: the interface, match reports and manager’s manual. Use EN / RO / 中文 at the top of the page.
Why a text engine instead of 3D?
Because the text is the game. The report tells you what happened and why, with the numbers behind each duel, and managers learn the engine by reading their own reports. A cinematic would hide exactly the information a manager needs.
Do I have to be online when my match plays?
No. Your saved lineup and orders play for you, and conditional orders react to the score, substitutions included, while you are away.
Are the players and clubs real?
No. Players, clubs and leagues are fictional, generated for the game. The managers are real: some clubs are run by other players, the rest by the computer until a manager takes them over.
Is there a community?
Yes. Managers have a forum inside the game, with sections for tactics, scouting and fixtures, plus national sections for countries with enough managers.
Can I start right now?
