Cups
International groups, knockout football, Shadow Cups and the national League Cup.
International paths
International Cups begin in groups of four, build their own group table and continue to the knockout path. Clubs outside the main draw enter Shadow Cups. Opening groups and brackets are persisted when drawn, so the Cups page and fixture list show the same path.
An edition can cover the whole world or one football confederation. In a world that has activated continental cups, every region has its own International and Shadow paths, for both Senior and Youth, with no shared world final. The edition name identifies its region. Published draws retain their scope and entrants for the season.
Competition paths
International Cup
Main cross-country group and knockout path; full sponsor performance rate.
Shadow Cup
Secondary cross-country path; qualifying performance sponsor bonuses pay at half rate.
Qualifier / knockout
Eligible tied fixtures continue to extra time and, if needed, penalties.
League Cup
The League Cup is a senior straight knockout inside the national league. It plays Tuesdays at 18:00 and uses season-start ranking to allocate opening byes. Its yellow-card ledger is separate from the league.
- No gate income is created.
- No player experience is awarded.
- Light match injuries and the Fun Factor update still apply.
- The winner still enters completed sporting history and the Trophy Room.
Deciding knockout ties
Eligible knockout and qualifier matches tied after 90 minutes continue through two 15-minute extra-time periods. Constitution, fatigue and open-play decisions still matter through minute 120. If needed, a shootout follows using available players; it does not turn constitution into penalty quality.
