Your first week
A practical route from a new club to a prepared first match.
1. Read the room
Start on Club home. Check the weekly rail, the next opponent and squad availability. Then open Squad and sort by position. One high rating does not tell you where a player can contribute; inspect the skills behind it. A new manager is offered a short guided tour of these pages and a first-week checklist on Club home; the tour can be taken again from the ? button.
2. Prepare the side
Build a legal XI in Lineup, then move through Tactics and Orders. A simple plan suited to your players is better than stacking instructions you cannot yet evaluate. Save the plan before leaving the page.
Before the first kickoff
Lineup
Select 11 unique players, choose role variants and fill the bench.
Team setup
Choose mentality, intensity, approach, line/channel options, captain and any valid opponent target.
Set pieces
Choose marking, routine mix, prediction, penalty order and takers.
Orders
Review every player instruction and add only scenarios whose trigger and priority you can explain.
Training
Set both persistent slots for every player you intend to develop.
Save
Confirm whether you are editing the general plan or only the named fixture, then save the complete draft.
3. Close the loop
After the fixture, open the full report. Look for repeated losses in the same stage of an attack, a player asked to use a weak skill, scenarios that fired and the balance of opportunities. Change one or two explainable things for the next match.
