Two ways into the squad

The market combines club listings and free agents. Filters cover kind, position, senior/youth squad and your own activity. Each page shows 25 live listings ordered by closing time. Exact current skills and salary are public; potential, personality and development details require your analyst. Skill abbreviations above the numeric columns are sort controls: the first click orders highest to lowest, and the second click reverses the order. On mobile, the same controls appear in the Skills row.

Market routes

Club listing

A managed club pays the published listing fee, sets a reserve and starts a five-day auction.

Direct offer

An off-list offer remains open for three days. It cannot be withdrawn for the first 24 hours, and you may target at most three players from one club at once.

Free agent

Uses a public agent reserve. An unsold player gets at most three five-day auctions: the second asks 90% and the third 81% of a reserve repriced at his current age, floored at the listing fee, then the listing expires.

My activity

Shows listings you sell or bid on, plus incoming and outgoing direct offers.

02

Five-day sealed auctions

Bids are semi-open: the leader and individual bids remain hidden. In the Market column, min is the lowest bid currently accepted by the game, while avg is the published average of the ten highest bids (or all bids when fewer than ten qualify). The average can appear only after two days and once at least three managed clubs have bid. Until both conditions are met, avg pending is intentional — it is not a stale value or an error.

Auction rules

Minimum (min)

The minimum valid bid is the higher of the seller’s reserve and the published average. While the average is pending, the reserve remains the floor.

Published average (avg)

Your first bid does not reveal or visibly change the average. It updates your own “yours” line and reserved funds; avg stays pending until the two-day and three-club disclosure gates are both satisfied.

Bid confirmation

Press Bid or Raise, edit the proposed amount in the confirmation dialog, then check the exact amount printed on the final button before submitting.

Reserved money

Money is reserved immediately. The club’s spendable balance is ledger balance minus all active commitments.

Raise only

An existing bid may only be increased. When the published average rises past your bid, your reserved money is released; the bid must be raised to become competitive again.

Settlement

The highest valid amount at the deadline wins; an earlier placement breaks an exact tie.

Sale deductions

The player’s agent keeps 10%. A qualifying former club receives 20% of positive resale profit if the current tenure is under one game year.

Direct offers attached

If the owner later lists the player, active direct offers become timestamped auction bids and keep their original tie priority.

03

Buy information, not certainty

The club has one analyst and one assignment at a time. A report takes 24 real hours and costs the higher of the published minimum retainer or 1.5 weeks of the target’s displayed salary. When ready it reveals potential rating, personality, development type and bloom start.

  • The fee is known before assignment and does not leak hidden quality.
  • A report describes the player; it does not forecast the winning bid or tactical fit.
  • The result remains tied to that analysed player.
04

Selling and releasing safely

Active listings reserve a possible squad exit. Ordinary exits must leave at least 12 players in that senior or youth squad. A rolling seven-day limit covers 12 ordinary exits, except during the manager’s first season and for draft players.

  • Emergency recruits may always be removed but cannot be used to empty a squad below 11.
  • Retired or already listed players cannot be listed again.
  • A direct offer aimed at a former owner becomes void rather than following the player.
  • Money reservations release or convert to real ledger entries when the market action resolves.
